Iranian border forces fatally shoot Baloch gardener Abdolkarim Boun in Rask

Iranian border forces fatally shot Abdolkarim Boun (Mohammadhasani), a Baloch gardener from Pishin District in Rask County, after opening direct fire and striking him in the head.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the shooting took place at dawn on Friday, July 31, 2026, in the Redig area of Pishin District.

Boun was returning home on his motorcycle after irrigating his orchard near the border when border forces opened fire without prior warning. Several of his relatives, who were traveling with him, also came under direct fire.

Because of the area's water distribution schedule, local orchard owners are forced to travel to their orchards at different hours of the day and night for irrigation.
