Baloch man fatally shot by police in Khash

A Baloch  father, identified as Vahid Mahmoudzehi, was fatally shot by Iranian police forces in the city of Khash, located in Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
 
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Tuesday, May 20, 2025, Vahid Mahmoudzehi, a 35-year-old resident of Khash, was shot in the head by police officers and died instantly. He was married and had two children.
 
The Haalvsh news network reported that Mahmoudzehi was driving his personal vehicle between the villages of Eslamabad and Garanchin when police forces opened fire on him without issuing any prior warning.
 
No official statement has been released by Iranian authorities regarding the incident.
