Gonabad: Security forces kill one Baloch, injure and detain another

A Baloch man was killed and another seriously injured and detained after Iranian security forces opened fire without warning on a moving motorcycle in the city of Gonabad, located in Razavi Khorasan Province.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, Ahmad Barahouei (Eidouzehi), 35, a resident of Zabol in Sistan and Baluchestan Province and the father of one, was fatally shot by security forces. The second rider, Mohsen Narouyi Marehi, 25, from Zahedan, sustained serious injuries and was subsequently arrested and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Reports indicate that the motorcycle was targeted without any prior warning or order to stop. Barahouei was struck by multiple bullets and died at the scene. Narouyi Marehi was hit by two bullets in the leg, severely wounded, and then taken into custody by security personnel. His current condition and whereabouts remain unknown.
