The wave of arrests across Iran continues amid the outbreak of war between Iran and Israel. In recent days, seven individuals—including a Lor and two Turks—have been detained by the security forces of the Islamic Republic in Tehran and Najafabad, Isfahan Province. The detainees have been identified as Mohammadreza Ehsani-Fard, Hossein Ronaghi, Hassan Ronaghi, Sajjad Sadeqi, Reza Daryakenari, Danial Moghaddam, and Morteza Asadi.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, Sadeqi, a former radio host and international relations researcher, was arrested at his home in Tehran by Intelligence Department agents.

On the same day, Moghaddam, a singer residing in Tehran, was also arrested by security forces. Due to his inability to post bail, he was transferred to a detention facility under an arrest order issued by Branch 3 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court’s Prosecutor’s Office.

On the evening of Tuesday, June 24, 2025, Hossein Ronaghi, a Turkish political activist and former political prisoner was arrested along with his brother Hassan Ronaghi. Both were taken to an undisclosed location by security forces.

Separately, on June 22, 2025, Daryakenari, a 28-year-old designer and art photographer from Tehran, was arrested by security agents while at a café in the city. His family’s efforts to obtain information about his condition and whereabouts have so far been unsuccessful.

Asadi, a 47-year-old political science PhD holder from Tehran, was arrested on June 20, 2025 at his home by Intelligence Department agents. During the arrest, his home was searched and electronic devices belonging to him and his wife were confiscated. Five days after his detention, no information has been released about his location or condition, and family inquiries have gone unanswered.

In another case, Ehsani-Fard, a 28-year-old Lor rapper from Yazdanshahr in Najafabad, was arrested on June 15, 2025, as military tensions between Iran and Israel escalated. According to informed sources, Intelligence agents stormed his home, confiscated mobile phones belonging to him and his wife, and transferred him to an unknown location.

All of these arrests were carried out without arrest warrants. In several cases, security forces conducted early morning raids involving threats and intimidation.
