Twelve individuals detained across multiple provinces

Iranian government forces have detained at least twelve individuals in the cities of Tehran, Qazvin, Izeh, Gonaveh, Shiraz, Gorgan, Zanjan, Sabzevar, Joveyn, Neyshabur, and Miandoab County.

Based on information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrests include poets, journalists, lawyers, athletes, and former student activists. No precise information is available regarding the charges against them or their current legal status.

Tehran and Qazvin

Khashayar Rezvani, a 41-year-old Lor poet and writer from Gachsaran, was arrested in Tehran on January 14, 2026. He is currently being held in Greater Tehran Prison. His detention order was extended for an additional month on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Abdollah Aajparin, a theater director and critic, has been detained since January 8, 2026.

Izeh

Amirhossein Aalipour, a Lor resident of Izeh, was detained during the January protests. His whereabouts remain unknown.

Gonaveh

Morteza Khezri, a journalist from Gonaveh in Bushehr Province, was arrested in recent days and transferred to an undisclosed location.

Shiraz

Hamid Norouzi, a lawyer and member of the Fars Bar Association, was arrested on February 14, 2026, during a raid on his home.

Joveyn

Hadi Molayjerdi, a resident of Joveyn in Razavi Khorasan Province, was arrested on January 13, 2026. His father has passed away, and he is the primary provider for his family.

Sabzevar

Mousa al-Reza Alavi, an 18-year-old athlete, was arrested on January 8, 2026, after being subjected to violence and physical assault. He was transferred to Sabzevar Prison.

Neyshabur

Hassan Qasemabadi (Elias), a 35-year-old CrossFit coach, was arrested after plainclothes agents raided his workplace and physically assaulted him.

Gorgan

Amirali Amiri, 22, was arrested on February 7, 2026, by agents of the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and transferred to Amirabad Prison in Gorgan. According to informed sources, he was subjected to torture and forced to give a confession.

Miandoab County

Jalal Koudrilou and Arash Kahbour, two Turkish residents from Miandoab County, were arrested on February 15, 2026, and transferred to an undisclosed location.

Zanjan

Reza Abbasi, a former Turkish student activist from Zanjan, was arrested after being summoned to the Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in the city. He is a former member of the Islamic Students Association of Zanjan University.
