Kurdish Poet and Writer Omar Mohammadi and Anwar Bayzidi arrested by security forces in Oshnavieh and Bukan

Omar Mohammadi, a Kurdish poet and writer from Oshnavieh (Shno), and Anwar Bayzidi, a Kurdish resident of Bukan, have been arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Friday, June 20, 2025, Omar Mohammadi was detained at his private residence in Oshnavieh by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence.
Additionally, in recent days, Anwar Bayzidi, a resident of Mirawa, a village near Bukan, was also arrested by security forces
Both of the arrests took place without presentation of arrest warrants.
No detailed information is available regarding the reasons for their arrests, the charges brought against them, or their current whereabouts.
