Sib and Soran – Mohammad Dehani-Ganki killed by direct fire from Iranian security forces

Mohammad Dehani-Ganki, a 30-year-old Baloch resident of Sib and Soran in Sistan and Baluchestan province, was shot and killed by Iranian security forces during a raid on his home. 

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the incident occurred on the morning of Sunday, July 20, 2025, in the village of Gank, a district of Sib and Soran. Dehani-Ganki was killed inside his residence after government forces opened fire. 

Sources informed Hengaw that military, intelligence, and plainclothes agents raided his home and, without issuing any warning, opened fire using light and semi-heavy weapons. The exchange lasted several minutes and resulted in Dehani’s death. 

No official explanation has been provided for the raid or the use of lethal force at his residence.
