Execution of Alireza Mirforoughi and Saleh Hatami carried out at Isfahan Central Prison

The death sentences of Alireza Mirforoughi and Saleh Hatami, an Arab prisoner, were carried out at Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd). Both had previously been convicted of “premeditated murder” by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions took place at dawn on Sunday, July 27, 2025. Alireza Mirforoughi, 46, from Isfahan, and Saleh Hatami, 37, a father of one from Masjed Soleyman in Khuzestan Province, were executed in Isfahan Central Prison.
Sources familiar with the cases stated that Saleh Hatami had been arrested four years ago and sentenced to death on charges of premeditated murder.
Alireza Mirforoughi had been detained seven years earlier on similar charges and likewise sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
The executions of these two individuals have not been reported by state-affiliated media, including outlets linked to the judiciary.
