Kurdish woman Elham Naderi Monfared sentenced to two years in Marivan prison

Elham Naderi Monfared, a 32-year-old Kurdish woman from Nowsud in Kermanshah (Kermashan) Province and a resident of Marivan, has been sentenced by the Marivan Revolutionary Court to two years in prison on charges of “propaganda in favor of Israel.”

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, 21 and a half months of the sentence have been suspended, while two and a half months are enforceable.

Sources reported that Naderi Monfared had previously been summoned and threatened by the Marivan Intelligence Office after posting a social media story related to the Iran–Israel war. She was later released on bail.
