Seven prisoners executed across Iran, including four Lors — over 100 Lors executed in 2025

The death sentences of seven prisoners carried out in five different prisons across Iran. The individuals had been convicted in separate cases related to drug offenses and premeditated murder. Among them were at least four Lor prisoners, adding to a growing trend of executions targeting this ethnic minority.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Reza Sharifzadeh and Mojtaba Izadi were executed in Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan  at dawn on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Both had been sentenced to death for drug-related charges.

At the same time, in Yasuj Central Prison, two Lor prisoners—Gholam Saeidian (48) and Mostafa Mirahmadi (35), both residents of Yasuj—were executed on drug-related charges. Saeidian had been in prison for four years and Mirahmadi for two.

In Kerman Central Prison, the death sentence of Kamran Amraei, also convicted of drug offenses, was carried out.

Separately, on Monday, August 4, Siamak Mohammadi-Pour, a Lor prisoner sentenced to death for premeditated murder, was executed in Khorramabad Central Prison.

Earlier, on Sunday, August 3, the execution of Rasoul Arabi, also convicted of murder, took place in Arak Central Prison.

None of these executions have been reported by Iranian state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets.

At least 100 Lor prisoners have been executed in Iran in the first eight months of 2025 alone, according to data registered by the Statistics and Documentation Center of Hengaw.
