Baloch prisoner dies after denial of medical care in Zabol

Hengaw – Tuesday, September 30, 2025
A Baloch prisoner held in Zabol Prison, identified as 20-year-old Arman Dahmardeh from Zabol, has died after developing a brain tumor. His death followed the denial of medical furlough, lack of adequate treatment, and delays in transfer to medical facilities.
According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Dahmardeh died on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in a hospital in Mashhad after being deprived of proper medical care while in detention.
According to Haalvash, he had been suffering from severe headaches for two weeks before his death. Despite repeated appeals, prison authorities refused to grant him medical leave or transfer him to a hospital, disregarding his worsening condition.
He was eventually taken to a hospital in Zabol, where doctors diagnosed him with a brain tumor. He was later transferred to Mashhad, where he died shortly after undergoing surgery.
