Hengaw – Wednesday, September 10, 2025

Dler Salimi, a Kurdish political prisoner from Saqqez, has been held for more than 80 days in the custody of Iran’s Intelligence Department in Sanandaj without due process. His wife, Zhila Tashakori, was recently granted temporary release on bail pending trial.

According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Salimi has now spent 85 days in detention under unclear legal conditions. He continues to be held in one of the Intelligence Department’s facilities in Sanandaj.

A source close to the family reported that Salimi has been denied his fundamental rights, including access to legal counsel and in-person family visits. He has only been permitted limited phone calls since his arrest.

Tashakori was released on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, after posting bail of one billion tomans, but remains under judicial investigation.

Sources indicate that Salimi faces charges of “collaboration with Kurdish parties.”

He was arrested by Iranian security forces in Saqqez on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Four days later, his wife was also summoned by the Intelligence Department in the city and subsequently detained.

Following Salimi’s arrest, intelligence agents raided the couple’s home in Saqqez and confiscated all electronic devices, including their mobile phones and computers.
