Sanandaj— Kurdish political detainee Derkhshan Rahimi transferred to undisclosed location

Hengaw – Friday, October 3, 2025
Derkhshan Rahimi, a 43-year-old Kurdish political detainee from Sanandaj, has been transferred from the women’s ward of Sanandaj Central Prison to an undisclosed location, with her whereabouts remaining unknown three days later. She had been arrested during the 12-day war between Israel and Iran on accusations of “collaboration with Israel” and “affiliation with Komala.”
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Rahimi was taken from the women’s ward of Sanandaj Central Prison to an undisclosed location. No further information has been provided on her fate or current situation.
Rahimi had previously been moved on September 19, 2025, to the women’s ward after three months in IRGC Intelligence detention, during which she was denied access to legal counsel and family contact, leaving her relatives without information about her condition.
Hengaw earlier reported that Rahimi, along with her two brothers Idris and Rezgar Rahimi, Adnan Molaei, and another employee of the family’s confectionery shop, were arrested by IRGC Intelligence during the 12-day war and accused in a joint case of “collaboration with Israel” and “connections to Komala.”
While her brothers Idris and Rezgar Rahimi were released on bail earlier this week pending trial, Derkhshan Rahimi remains in detention. She was initially arrested on June 27, 2025 in Sanandaj, where IRGC agents also confiscated her personal belongings, including her mobile phone and laptop.
