Eight prisoners, including two Lor men, executed across five Iranian prisons

Iranian authorities have executed eight prisoners, including two Lor men, on murder and drug-related charges in the prisons of Khorramabad, Sabzevar, Jiroft, Shiraz, and Gorgan.

According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mirza Vali Sotoudeh, a Lor man from Khorramabad who had been sentenced to death for murder, was executed at Khorramabad Central Prison at dawn on September 15, 2025.

On the same day, Mojtaba Bozhabadi, from Nishapur, and Farshad Khosravi, both convicted of drug-related offenses, were executed at Sabzevar Central Prison in Razavi Khorasan Province.

Also that day, Amirhossein Hemmati, 30, from Jihadabad in Anbarabad, Kerman Province, was put to death at Jiroft Prison. He had been arrested four years earlier on murder charges and sentenced to death by the judiciary.

Separately, Parviz Dowlaty, 35, was executed at Khorramabad Central Prison at dawn on September 14, 2025. He had been arrested four years ago on charges of drug trafficking and later sentenced to death.

That same day, the executions of Reza Shahsavari, 30, from Borujerd in Lorestan Province, and Heydar Alibabayi, 45, from Mashhad, were carried out at Adelabad Prison in Shiraz. Shahsavari had been detained for four years and Alibabayi for five years on murder charges.

In addition, Rasoul Khanmohammadi, 40, from Bandar Abbas, was executed at Gorgan Central Prison at dawn on September 10, 2025. He had been arrested four years earlier on charges of possessing 40 kilograms of methamphetamine and sentenced to death.

State media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary, have not reported the executions of these eight prisoners.
