Seyed Behzad Saeedi arrested in Khomein and transferred to prison after being charged

Seyed Behzad Saeedi, a 35-year-old nurse and resident of Khomein in Iran’s Markazi Province, was arrested and transferred to the city’s prison after being formally charged by judicial authorities.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, October 23, 2025, Saeedi appeared before the Khomein Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office, where he was charged with “collusion and conspiracy to act against internal security” and “propaganda against the state.” Following the indictment, the prosecutor issued a two-month detention order, after which he was transferred to Khomein Prison.
Saeedi was initially arrested on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, by IRGC intelligence agents at his parents’ home and taken to the agency’s detention center before being transferred to prison the following day.
The charges against him relate to “sending images of sensitive locations in the city to foreign media outlets.”
