Eight prisoners executed across seven prisons in Iran

The death sentences of eight prisoners — identified as Subhan Zamani, Shahab (last name unknown), Safar Ali Rezaei, Hossein Mansouri, Mohammad Karim Selouki, Goodarz Mousavi, Gholam Naeimi, and Alireza Khodkar — were carried out in various prisons across Iran. The prisoners had been convicted on charges including murder and drug-related offenses.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, two prisoners identified as Subhan Zamani and Shahab (last name unknown) were executed in Ghezel Hesar Prison, Karaj. Zamani had been convicted of murder, while Shahab had been sentenced to death two years earlier for killing a friend in a so-called “honor-related” case in Razavi Khorasan Province.
On the same day, Safar Ali Rezaei, who had been sentenced to death for drug-related offenses, was executed in Semnan Prison.
Earlier, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, Hossein Mansouri Aliabad, approximately 35 years old, was executed in Yazd Central Prison. He had been arrested five years ago on charges of murder.
That same day, another prisoner, Mohammad Karim Selouki, was executed in Bojnurd Prison in North Khorasan Province after being convicted of drug-related offenses.
Simultaneously, in Gachsaran Prison (Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province), the execution of Goodarz Mousavi, convicted of murder, was also carried out.
On Sunday, October 19, 2025 , Gholam Naeimi, a 30-year-old Baloch man from Rigan County, Kerman Province, was executed in Bam Prison after being convicted of killing his fiancée five years earlier.
In a separate case, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, Alireza Khodkar, a Gilak prisoner from Choubar, Talesh County, was executed in Lakan Prison, Rasht, after being convicted of killing his cousin during a family dispute over inheritance.
None of these executions have been announced by Iranian state media, particularly outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
