Seven more prisoners executed as Iran’s wave of executions continues

Iranian authorities executed seven prisoners in facilities across Isfahan, Rasht, Gorgan, Chabahar, Yasuj and Sabzevar. The individuals, Saeed Mokhtari, Shahrokh Mostafavi, Vahid Fazeli, Abdolrahman Mehrabani, Noushad Mousavi, Peyman Ghasemi and Abbas Hajiani, had all received death sentences on charges of “premeditated murder” or “drug-related offences” issued by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Based on information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mokhtari, 35, from Jahrom, and Mostafavi, 40, from Karaj and a father of one, were executed at dawn on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd). Authorities had detained Mokhtari for about two years on “drug-related offences,” while Mostafavi had earlier been arrested on similar “drug-related offences” and later sentenced to death.

Fazeli, 42, a Gilak man and father of one, was executed in Rasht Central Prison (Lakan) on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Authorities had arrested Fazeli around four years earlier on a charge of “premeditated murder” before sentencing him to death.

Mehrabani, 57, from the village of Nasrabad near Gorgan, was executed in Gorgan Central Prison on Monday, November 10, 2025. Authorities had detained Mehrabani about six years earlier on a charge of “murder” linked to a dispute over agricultural land and later issued a death sentence.

Mousavi, a Baloch prisoner, was executed in Chabahar Prison on the same day. Authorities had previously arrested and sentenced Mousavi to death on a charge of “murder.”

Ghasemi, a Lor prisoner, was executed in Yasuj Central Prison on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Officials had arrested Ghasemi four years earlier on a charge of “premeditated murder” and later sentenced him to death.

Hajiani, 31, from the village of Sadkharu in Davarzan County, Razavi Khorasan Province, was executed in Sabzevar Prison at dawn on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Authorities had detained Hajiani around four years earlier on “drug-related offences” and then handed down a death sentence.

State media, particularly outlets affiliated with the judiciary, have not reported these executions.
