Iran executes seven prisoners, including two Lors, in multiple prisons across the country

Seven prisoners, including two Lors, were executed in recent days in the prisons of Shiraz, Karaj (Qezelhesar), Aligudarz, Nishabur, and Isfahan, after being convicted on charges related to murder and drug offenses. The prisoners were identified as Heshmat Foroughi, Sajad Amiri, Bahman Shah-Hosseini, Seyed Mahmoud Hosseini, Saber Nasiri, Shah-Hossein Afshar, and Mehran Jafari-Novgorani.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Thursday, October 8, 2025, two prisoners, Foroughi, 33, from Yasuj, and Amiri, 37, from the Darreh Shuri branch of the Qashqai tribe, were executed in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz.
Amiri had been arrested about a year earlier on charges of killing a police colonel, while Foroughi had been detained four years ago on accusations of murder during a street altercation.
On Tuesday morning, October 7, 2025, Shah-Hosseini, 36, from Tehran, and Hosseini, 35, from Arak, were executed in Qezelhesar Prison in Karaj. According to informed sources, both had been imprisoned for eight years on drug-related charges and were held in solitary confinement for 16 days prior to their executions.
On the same day, Nasiri, a Lor man from Aligudarz who had been convicted of murder, was executed in the Central Prison of Aligudarz in Lorestan Province.
Earlier, on Monday, October 6, 2025, Afshar, convicted on drug-related charges, was executed in Nishabur Prison in Razavi Khorasan Province.
In a separate case, at dawn on Monday, September 29, 2025, Jafari-Novgorani, 28, from Baghshad, Isfahan, was executed in Dastgerd Central Prison in Isfahan. He had been arrested six years earlier on murder charges and later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
The executions of these seven prisoners have not been announced by Iranian state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets.
