IRGC Intelligence arrests musician Abbas Peymani

Intelligence officers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) arrested Abbas Peymani, a traditional musician and singer from Shahriar in Tehran Province.

Based on information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Peymani, an artist from Shahriar, was arrested on Sunday, November 16, 2025, by IRGC Intelligence officers.

Following his arrest, Peymani was transferred to an undisclosed location, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

Prior to his arrest, he had posted critical comments about Iran’s political and economic situation on his personal social media accounts.
