Iranian authorities execute Mehran Saqaei and Shahmorad Dehqani

Iranian authorities have executed two prisoners, Mehran Saqaei and Shahmorad Dehqani, who had previously been sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder” and “drug-related offenses.”
According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution of Mehran Saqaei, a Lor prisoner, was carried out at dawn on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Dorud Prison in Lorestan Province. Sources familiar with the case stated that Saqaei had been arrested on a charge of premeditated murder and later sentenced to death by Iran’s judiciary.
The execution of Shahmorad Dehqani was carried out the same day in Adel Abad Prison in Shiraz. He had been arrested on drug-related charges and subsequently sentenced to death.
State media, including outlets affiliated with Iran’s judiciary, have not reported the executions of these two prisoners.
