Number of detainees in Kamyaran rises to two as former political prisoner Mohammad Dashti arrested

Mohammad Dashti, a Kurdish former political prisoner from Kamyaran, has been arrested by agents of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence, bringing the total number of people detained in the city on Monday to two.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Dashti, aged 36, a father of two and a resident of Alak village near Kamyaran, was detained at dawn on November 10, 2025, by intelligence forces.

Dashti had previously been arrested for his political activities and sentenced to one year in prison, which he served in full before being released.

Earlier the same day, Hengaw reported the violent arrest of Ramin Mohammadi, aged 32 and also from Alak village, by intelligence forces.

Both Mohammad Dashti and Ramin Mohammadi have been transferred to a detention center of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence in Sanandaj following their arrest.
