Kamran Afshari executed in Arak Central Prison

The death sentence of Kamran Afshari, a Lor prisoner from Malayer in Hamadan Province, was carried out in Arak Central Prison. Afshari had previously been sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary on drug-related charges.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution was carried out at dawn on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
Kamran Afshari, aged 40, had been living in Arak and was employed by the Railway Organization.

He was arrested two and a half years ago on drug-related charges and later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

The execution has not been reported by Iranian state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets.
