Two Kurdish brothers arrested in Sabzevar following visit to Khosrow Alikurdi’s grave

Mokhtar Kalmishi and Ahmad Kalmishi, two Kurdish brothers from Sabzevar in Razavi Khorasan Province and close relatives of Khosrow Alikurdi, were arrested by government forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the two men, who are cousins of Alikurdi, were detained on Thursday, December 18, 2025, in Sabzevar.
Sources familiar with the case said the arrests took place after the brothers visited the grave of Khosrow Alikurdi, a former political prisoner and lawyer who died under suspicious circumstances.
No information has been made available regarding their place of detention or current condition.
