Government forces arrest Mohammad Abbasi and Obaid Souri in Bukan

Two Kurdish men from Bukan, Mohammad Abbasi and Obaid Souri, have been arrested by forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Abbasi, from Gogjali village, and Souri, from Shinabad, were arrested in separate incidents on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Sources reported that the arrests were carried out violently and without the presentation of court warrants during raids on their homes.

No information is available regarding the reasons for their arrests or their place of detention.
