Iranian government forces have detained Sadegh Mansouri, a resident of Mashhad, and transferred him to an undisclosed location. His arrest is linked to his attendance at the memorial ceremony for the late Kurdish lawyer Khosrow Alikordi.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mansouri — a calligraphy instructor at the Mashhad Calligraphers Association — was arrested during a raid on his home on Saturday, December 21, 2025, and taken to an unknown location.

Sources told Hengaw that government agents cited Mansouri’s participation in the seventh-day memorial ceremony for Khosrow Alikordi as the reason for his detention. Mansouri has previously been detained on security-related grounds.

Iranian security forces have arrested several participants who attended the seventh-day memorial ceremony for Alikordi, which was held on Friday, December 12, 2025, with the presence of civil rights activists and former political prisoners.

No information has been made available regarding the formal charges against Mansouri, his place of detention, or his current condition.
