Iranian intelligence arrests Kurdish man Behrouz Alikordi, relative of late lawyer Khosrow Alikordi, in Mashhad

Iranian intelligence agents have arrested Behrouz Alikordi, a Kurdish man from Sabzevar in Razavi Khorasan Province and cousin of the late lawyer and former political prisoner Khosrow Alikordi, who died under suspicious circumstances earlier this month.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, intelligence forces detained Behrouz Alikordi at his workplace in Mashhad on Monday, December 22, 2025.
Sources familiar with the case stated that he was transferred to the detention facility of the Intelligence Department in the Reza Shahr area of Mashhad. He was later moved to solitary confinement after Revolutionary Court Judge Kouhsangi issued a formal detention order.
Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for his arrest, and no information has been made available regarding his condition or current legal status.
