Yaqoub Mabzoleh arrested by Iranian state forces in Mahabad

Iranian authorities have arrested Yaqoub Mabzoleh, a Kurdish man from Mahabad, and transferred him to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, state forces arrested Mabzoleh at his private residence on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, without presenting a court warrant and while using intimidation.

Security agents also confiscated several of his personal belongings.

No information is available regarding the reasons for his arrest, the charges against him, or his current place of detention.
