Hengaw — Thursday, December 11, 2025
Two Kurdish men, Karzan Bahmani and Ahmad Khodadadi, were arrested in Mahabad and Piranshahr by forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and transferred to undisclosed locations.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Bahmani, a resident of the village of Khorkhoreh in Mahabad County, was arrested at his home on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
Khodadadi, originally from Naqadeh and residing in Piranshahr, was also arrested by government forces earlier this week on Monday, December 8, 2025.
Based on data from Hengaw’s Statistics and Documentation Center, at least 36 Kurdish individuals have been detained across various cities in Kurdistan during the first ten days of December 2025, with only one person released. This reflects a continued escalation in arbitrary arrests targeting Kurdistan.
