Tahir Bapiran and Siamand Esmaili violently arrested in Piranshahr

Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran violently arrested Tahir Bapiran and Siamand Esmaili, two Kurdish men from Piranshahr.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the two men were detained on Monday, December 15, 2025, in the village of Shinavi, a rural district of Piranshahr. Their arrest took place during a raid by government forces on their homes.

Sources familiar with the case said the arrests were carried out using intimidation and physical violence.
