Nima Rasoulzadeh remains incommunicado weeks after arrest

Intelligence Department forces arrested Nima Rasoulzadeh, a young Kurdish man from Miandoab (Miandoaw), more than three weeks ago, and authorities have since provided no information about his whereabouts, health condition, or exact place of detention.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Intelligence Department forces arrested Rasoulzadeh, from the village of Gavmish Goli in Miandoab, on July 27, 2026.
Informed sources told Hengaw that the forces arrested Rasoulzadeh without presenting a warrant and subsequently transferred him to a security detention facility in Urmia.
More than three weeks into his detention, Rasoulzadeh has been denied access to a lawyer of his choosing, phone calls, and family visits. Security forces and judicial authorities in Urmia and Miandoab have provided no information about the reasons for his arrest or any charges against him.
