Iranian intelligence arrests Shaho Hashempour in Oshnavieh

Iranian intelligence agents have arrested Shaho Hashempour, a Kurdish man in the city of Oshnavieh (Shno) and transferred him to an undisclosed location.

According to the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Hashempour, 31, a resident of Oshnavieh, was detained on Sunday, December 14, 2025, after being summoned to the local office of the Ministry of Intelligence and reporting there as instructed.

No information has been released regarding the reasons for his arrest, any charges against him, or his current place of detention.

Hashempour’s father, Abbas Hashempour, a civil activist, has previously been arrested and subjected to pressure by security authorities in connection with his activities.
