Number of detainees rises to four following arrests in Piranshahr

The number of Kurdish people detained by Iranian security forces in Piranshahr has risen to four following the arrest of Hajar Torji and Rizgar Khanpaye.
According to Information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Torji and Khanpaye were arrested during early-morning raids on their homes on Monday, December 15, 2025.
Earlier the same day, two other men — Tahir Bapiran and Siamand Esmaili, residents of Shinavi village in Piranshahr County — were also detained.
No information has been released regarding the reasons for the arrests, any charges against the detainees, or their current whereabouts.
