Iranian authorities arrest five Kurds in Marivan

Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have arrested at least five Kurdish men from Marivan. The detainees have been identified as Ramin Siyahian, Ata Moradi, and three others identified only as Rafiq, Hatem, and Zanko, whose surnames have not yet been confirmed.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ramin Siyahian, a resident of the Koreh Mousavi district of Marivan, was arrested on Monday, December 29, 2025.

Earlier, during the early hours of Sunday, December 28, security forces raided residential homes and arrested Rafiq, from the village of Zoriran; Hatem, from the village of Seif; and Zanko, from the village of Lavisan near Marivan.

In recent days, Ata Moradi, from the Joojeh-Sazi district of Marivan, was also arrested and transferred to an undisclosed location.

No information is available regarding the reasons for their arrests, their legal status, or their place of detention.
