Hengaw confirms identities of 21 additional people killed in Isfahan Province

The Hengaw Organization for Human Rights has confirmed the identities of 21 additional individuals killed during recent protests across Isfahan Province after being shot directly by Iranian government forces. With these newly verified cases, the total number of confirmed fatalities in the province has risen to 69.
The victims have been identified as: Hossein Mahmoudi Baram, Pouya Qashqaei, Abdollah Adibi, Hossein Barati, Abbas Aminzadeh, Mehdi Abdali, Iman Najjar Hosseini, Amir Abbas Baghestani, Mobin Ashouri, Mehdi Abdali, Seyed Hossein Mousavi, Javad Ranjbar, Mohammad Khalili, Peyman Barati, Majid Hashemi, Ashkan Rostami, Hadi Ahmadpour, Rostam Mobarakabadi, Hossein Iranpour, Milad Iranpour, and Mehdi Fakhari.

According to information received by Hengaw, seven residents of Mobarakeh, identified as Peyman Barati, Majid Hashemi, Hadi Ahmadpour, Rostam Mobarakabadi, Hossein Iranpour, Milad Iranpour, and Mehdi Fakhari, were killed after being shot directly by government forces during protests in the city on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

 Six protesters, including one ethnic Turk, Pouya Qashqaei, along with Amir Abbas Baghestani, Mobin Ashouri, Mehdi Choghadi, Seyed Hossein Mousavi, and Javad Ranjbar, were killed by direct gunfire from government forces during demonstrations in Shahreza, Isfahan Province on Friday, January 9, 2026.


On the same day, Hossein Mahmoudi Baram, 35, a Lor resident of Falavarjan, was shot dead during protests in the city.

Abdollah Adibi, Abbas Aminzadeh, and Hossein Barati were killed by direct gunfire during protests in Sedelanjan, another city in Isfahan Province on January 9.

Meanwhile, Mehdi Abdali, a 35-year-old engineer from Isfahan, was killed after being shot in the neck and heart by government forces during protests on Azar Street in Isfahan. According to informed sources, his body also showed signs of severe beating, including blunt-force trauma to the face and nose, inflicted with rifle butts.

Iman Najjar Hosseini, a 21-year-old athlete from Naein, was killed after being shot directly by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces during protests in the city on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

Sources reported that IRGC forces opened fire from the rooftop of the Naein Governor’s Office, and the bullet caused severe internal injuries, including damage to his intestines and spleen. Iman was an active athlete in parkour and martial arts.

Hengaw has also confirmed the killing of Mohammad Khalili, a resident of Isfahan, and Ashkan Rostami, a resident of Daran, both of whom were shot by government forces during protests.

According to an informed source, Ashkan Rostami was buried on Saturday, January 10, in Daran under heavy security supervision.
