Fate of three Kurds remains unknown 19 days after arrest in Bijar

The fate of three Kurdish residents of Bijar, Ahmadreza Ghamari, Saman Mohammadzadeh, and Ali Valizadeh, remains unknown 19 days after their arrest by Iranian government forces.
According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the three men were arrested on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, without the presentation of court warrants.
Informed sources said the detainees were transferred to Sanandaj Central Prison following their arrest. However, more than 18 days later, their families’ repeated efforts to obtain information about their legal status, charges, and conditions of detention have remained unsuccessful.
Authorities have failed to provide any details regarding the investigation or the detainees’ fate.
