Mobin Feyli shot dead by Iranian government forces in Ivan

Mobin Feyli, a Kurdish resident of Zarna, a town in Ivan County in Ilam province, was killed after Iranian government forces opened fire during protests in the area.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the incident occurred on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Feyli, 21, was shot directly by Iranian forces during protests in Zarna and later died from his injuries.
Protests on Thursday took place simultaneously in several cities across Iran. In Ilam province, including Zarna, demonstrations were met with a heavy response, including violence and the use of live ammunition against protesters by Iranian government forces.
