Reza Haji Moradian, Kurdish young man from Qasr-e Shirin, killed by Iranian forces in Karaj

Reza Haji Moradian, a Kurdish man from Qasr-e Shirin and a resident of Karaj, was killed by direct gunfire from forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Haji Moradian was shot dead by government forces during public protests in Karaj on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

Informed sources told Hengaw that he was killed by direct fire from a military-grade weapon.

Hengaw has learned that his body was buried on Monday, January 12, 2026, in his hometown of Qasr-e Shirin.
