Iran executes Reza Karami and Ehsan Rajabi in separate cases

Iranian authorities have executed two prisoners, Reza Karami and Ehsan Rajabi, in Dorud and Kashan prisons after they were sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder,” according to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights.

Reza Karami, a Lor prisoner who had previously been sentenced to death on “premeditated murder” charges, was executed in the early hours of Monday, February 16, 2026, at Dorud Prison.

In a separate case, Ehsan Rajabi, a 33-year-old man from Kashan, was executed on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Kashan Central Prison. He had been arrested approximately five years ago in connection with a fatal altercation and was later sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran on charges of “premeditated murder.”

The executions of these two prisoners have not been announced by state media, particularly outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
