Hengaw – Sunday, February 8, 2026
Parva Behdad, a Baha’i resident of Isfahan, has been arrested by government authorities to serve a three-year prison sentence and transferred to Dastgerd (Dowlatabad) Prison in the city.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, she was arrested on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in order to begin serving her sentence.
In March 2023, the Revolutionary Court of Isfahan sentenced Behdad to three years of discretionary imprisonment, along with a two-year travel ban and additional supplementary punishments. The ruling was later upheld in full by the Isfahan Provincial Court of Appeals.
She had previously been arrested at her home by government forces on November 14, 2022, in connection with managing a channel associated with the Baha’i faith. After spending 21 days in detention, she was transferred to Dastgerd Prison.
Behdad was later released on bail on December 18 of the same year.
