Three Lor prisoners, including uncle and nephew, executed in Khorramabad and Shahrekord prisons

The death sentences of three Lor prisoners have been carried out in Khorramabad Central Prison and Shahrekord Prison.
The three had previously been sentenced to death by Iran’s judiciary on charges of “premeditated murder” and “drug-related offenses.”
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions of Babak Amraei, 25, and Mohammadghasem Amraei, 55, who were nephew and uncle, were carried out at dawn in Khorramabad Central Prison on February 7, 2026. The two had been arrested around five years earlier in a joint case involving drug-related charges, specifically the transport of seven kilograms of morphine, and were later sentenced to death.
In a separate case, the execution of Amirhossein Tavakkoli, 22, a Lor prisoner from Shahrekord, was carried out at dawn on January 28, 2026, in Shahrekord Prison. He had been detained about four years earlier on a charge of premeditated murder and subsequently sentenced to death. He was approximately 18 years old at the time of his arrest.
These executions have not been officially announced by state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
