Ten arrested by government forces in Dehagh, Tehran, Sabzevar, Mashhad, and Dashtestan

At least ten people have been arrested by Iranian government forces in the cities of Dehagh, Tehran, Sabzevar, Mashhad, and Dashtestan, according to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights.

The individuals were detained during separate operations in recent weeks, and in several cases no reliable information is available regarding their legal status or conditions of detention.

The details are as follows:

Dehagh

Amir Lali, 32, was arrested at dawn on January 9, 2026, while asleep at his home in Dehagh. Government forces shot him in the leg during the raid before detaining him. He was later transferred to Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan. Lali has a prior arrest record and suffers from diabetes; due to his gunshot wound and medical condition, he is at risk of limb amputation.

Tehran

Siavash Haddadi and Iman Nobakhti, two musicians based in Tehran, were arrested on January 20, 2026, after government forces violently raided Nobakhti’s home.

Sabzevar

Navid Safa was arrested during January and transferred to an undisclosed location.

On January 9, 2026, Seyed Hadi Razghani and Mehdi Sadidi were detained and transferred to Mashhad.

Hossein Sadidi was arrested one day earlier, on January 8, after being wounded by direct gunfire to the leg. He was taken to an undisclosed location.

Ali-Akbar Rezaei, a 38-year-old engineer from Sabzevar, was arrested by Intelligence Ministry agents on January 7, 2026, and transferred to an unknown facility.

Mashhad

Ali Gholami Khesht, 19, was arrested on January 10, 2026, on Moallem Street in Mashhad and transferred to Vakilabad Prison.

Dashtestan (Bushehr Province)

Abbas Saqafi, a resident of Tang-e Zard village in the Bushkan district of Dashtestan County, was arrested on January 10, 2026, during a violent raid on his home in a palm grove area. Although unarmed, he was shot and subdued by force. Sources report he was subjected to beatings and electric shock during arrest and later transferred to a Bushehr intelligence detention facility.
