Twelve arrested in Sabzevar, Quchan, Hamedan, and Tehran

At least twelve people have been arrested by Iranian government forces in the cities of Quchan, Sabzevar, Hamedan, and Tehran.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, of these, eight are residents of Sabzevar, while one arrest each has been recorded in Quchan, Hamedan, and Tehran.

Available details are as follows:

Sabzevar

Government forces arrested a number of Sabzevar residents at different times during January–early February 2026. Siavash Davarzani was detained on January 10, 2026, and his brother Arash Davarzani was arrested in early February. Armin Qasemi, 18, was arrested on the evening of January 9. Moslem Norouzian, Reza Vahedi, Ali Ehteshami-Rad, and Saeed Kalateh Seifari were also detained on January 9.

In addition, Mojtaba Keykhosravi and Mehdi Seyedabadi were arrested on January 8, 2026. According to available information, Keykhosravi and Seyedabadi were transferred to Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad, while Reza Vahedi, Ali Ehteshami-Rad, Saeed Kalateh Seifari, Armin Qasemi, and the Davarzani brothers were taken to Sabzevar Prison.

Tehran

Sina Shams, 28, was arrested during a raid on his home on Iran Street in Tehran on the evening of February 14, 2026, and was subsequently transferred to Evin Prison.

Hamedan

Hamed Zahdi, 29, a resident of Hamedan, was arrested on February 9, 2026, when government forces raided his family home. He was taken to an undisclosed location, and no further information about his status has been released.

Quchan

Ali Mousaviniya, a resident of Quchan in Razavi Khorasan Province, has been arrested in that city. According to reports, a case has been opened against him in Branch Four of the Torbat-e Heydarieh Prosecutor’s Office on security-related charges.
