Airstrikes during Iran war kill 21 Kurdish civilians, including children

At least 21 Kurdish civilians have been killed in various cities across Kurdistan during the war involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, according to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights. The victims include children and a pregnant woman. Most were killed in residential areas near Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) garrisons and other military and security sites targeted in the airstrikes.

Asaad Mohammadi, a 60-year-old resident of Paveh in Kermanshah (Kermashan), was killed during the bombing of the city’s police station on Sunday, March 8, 2026. He worked as a fruit vendor in Daf Square in Paveh.

Abubakr Moghmi, 75, from Mahabad, was killed during the bombing of Police Station No. 11 in the city on Friday, March 6, 2026.

Abubakr Alizadeh, 63, from Naqadeh, was wounded in the head by shrapnel when military sites were targeted on Monday, March 2. After several days, he died on March 6 in the intensive care unit of a hospital in the city.

Nemat Shamspour, from the village of Shamalkan in Urmia, was killed during the bombing of military sites in the city on Wednesday, March 4. On the same day, Delshad Rashidi, a resident of Oshnavieh (Shno), was killed during the bombing of the city’s IRGC headquarters.

Fardin Darboi, a resident of Marivan, was also killed on March 4 during the bombing of IRGC military sites in Moallem Square in the city.

Bahram Qasri, from Sanandaj (Sine), was killed on Shibli Boulevard in the city on Monday, March 2.
Shaho Bahrami, a resident of Dezli village in Sarvabad, was killed during airstrikes by Israeli and U.S. fighter jets targeting an IRGC base in the village on March 2.

Hasti Mohammadi, a 16-year-old from the village of Kelaveh in Ravansar, was killed during airstrikes targeting military and security sites in the city on Sunday, March 1.

Another child, Mahan Zarei, 14, an eighth-grade student from Kamyaran, was killed the same day during the bombing of the city’s police station.

Jamal Qaderi, from the village of Nasnar in Sarvabad, was killed on Saturday, February 28, coinciding with the first day of U.S. and Israeli airstrikes targeting military and security sites.

Hengaw had previously reported the deaths of 10 other civilians in Divandarreh, Marivan, and Bukan during airstrikes targeting military and security facilities.
