Six members of one family, including two women and two children, killed in Ivan during ongoing war

Six members of a Kurdish family — including two women and two children aged six months and five years — were killed after a residential building was struck in the city of Ivan in Ilam Province. The victims have been identified as Ali Nazar Mahmoudi, Maryam Mohammadi, Elham Mahmoudi, Dr. Afshar Khosravi, Nila Khosravi, and Rayan Khosravi.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the victims were killed at approximately 05:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, during airstrikes carried out by Israeli and U.S. warplanes targeting sites in the area.
Those killed include Maryam (Mahtab) Mohammadi, her husband Ali Nazar Mahmoudi, and their child Elham Mahmoudi, as well as Dr. Afshar Khosravi, the family’s son-in-law, and his two children — Nila Khosravi, 5, and Rayan Khosravi, a six-month-old infant.
A relative of the family told Hengaw that Ali Nazar Mahmoudi was the owner of a pharmacy in Ivan.
