Two Kurdish brothers arrested in Naqadeh; one released, the other remains in custody

Two Kurdish brothers from Naqadeh, identified as Mansour Abdollahzadeh and Manouchehr Abdollahzadeh, were arrested by Iranian government forces during a violent raid. Manouchehr was released after two days of detention, while Mansour remains in custody, with no information available regarding his whereabouts or condition.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrests took place on the evening of Saturday, March 14, 2026, when government forces raided the family home of the two brothers in Khalifan village, near Naqadeh. Mansour Abdollahzadeh, 41, married and a father of two, and Manouchehr Abdollahzadeh, 27, were both detained during the operation.

A source close to the Abdollahzadeh family told Hengaw that security forces forced entry by breaking doors and windows, carried out a search of the house, and assaulted and verbally abused family members. During the raid, personal belongings, including laptops and mobile phones, were confiscated.

The source added that Manouchehr Abdollahzadeh was released after two days of detention and interrogation and was left near a park in Naqadeh. However, his personal belongings remain confiscated by security authorities.

According to the report, Mansour Abdollahzadeh remains in detention, and despite repeated efforts by his family to obtain information from security agencies and judicial authorities in Naqadeh, no details have been provided regarding his place of detention, health condition, or legal status.
