Ali Alirezaei, an undergraduate student of mathematical sciences at Sharif University of Technology, has been arrested by Iranian security forces and taken to an undisclosed location.

Hengaw Organization for Human Rights has learned that Alirezaei, who entered the university in 2021, was detained by government forces on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for his arrest, his current whereabouts, or any charges against him.
