Zeinab Shafizadeh detained in Isfahan after home raid

Iranian government forces have detained a woman, Zeinab Shafizadeh, in Isfahan and transferred her to an undisclosed location.

According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Shafizadeh was arrested on the evening of April 12, 2026, when gouvernement forces raided her home in Isfahan.

A source familiar with the case said the arrest was carried out without a warrant, and agents searched the residence during the operation.

Shafizadeh had previously been threatened by government forces in January 2026, when agents searched her home, confiscated personal belongings and her passport, and summoned her for questioning.

Despite repeated inquiries by her family, authorities have not disclosed the reasons for her arrest, any charges against her, or her place of detention.
