Artist Keyvan Ahmadi held incommunicado nearly one month after arrest

Keyvan Ahmadi, a Lor artist from Nurabad Mamasani, has remained incommunicado and in legal limbo for nearly one month following his arrest by the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ahmadi was arrested in early April 2026 by IRGC intelligence forces in Shiraz.

Hengaw has learned that his arrest is linked to allegations concerning his presence and activities during the funeral of one of those killed in the recent protests.

Nearly 30 days after his arrest, repeated inquiries by Ahmadi’s family regarding his place of detention and health condition have remained unanswered.
