Lor prisoner Majid Shirzadi executed at Hamedan Central Prison

Iranian authorities executed a Lor prisoner identified as Majid Shirzadi, a native of Asadabad, at Hamedan Central Prison earlier this month. He had previously been sentenced to death on “premeditated murder” charges.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution of 35-year-old Majid Shirzadi was carried out at dawn on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in Hamedan Central Prison, also known as Alvand Prison.

Sources familiar with the case told Hengaw that Shirzadi had been arrested around seven years ago on “premeditated murder” charges and was later sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He had spent the entire period of his imprisonment in Hamedan Central Prison.

Iranian authorities and state-affiliated media have not publicly announced the execution.
