Iranian intelligence forces detain Mojtaba Kakaei in Dehloran

Iranian intelligence forces detained Mojtaba Kakaei, a Kurdish man from Dehloran in Ilam Province, during a violent raid on his family home and transferred him to an undisclosed location.

Information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights shows that agents of Iran’s Intelligence Department raided Kakaei’s family home in Dehloran on the evening of June 17, 2026, and detained the 40-year-old without presenting an arrest warrant.

Iranian security agencies have refused to disclose the reasons for his detention or any charges against him. His current whereabouts, legal status, and any charges against Kakaei remain unknown.
